Kauaʻi service businesses

The boring stuff is eating your week.

Invoicing, scheduling, chasing people down, the same questions landing on you all day. None of it is why you started. I find where your hours are going, and the money that leaves with them.

Free. No invoice, no catch.90 min. I come to you.No prep. Nothing to pull together.Yours to keep, always.

“It's simple, it's conversational. I was a little worried I was gonna have to pull up 100 different QuickBooks reports and get the exact figures and show you all my books.”

Kauʻai? Yes, we spelled it that way on purpose.

Kau: to cultivate. ʻAi: nourishment. Kauʻai: to cultivate nourishment — food, spirit, and yes, economic resources. Mahalo to Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson (Aunty Puna) for sharing this other name for our island, its meaning, and her blessing to use it here.

Sound familiar?

You're great at the work.
The work is not the problem.

It all runs through you

Nobody else knows the schedule, so every question comes back to you. Even on your day off.

The nine o'clock shift

Invoices, quotes and paperwork after dinner, because the day was already full.

You can't leave

A week away means a week of catching up, so you stop planning the trip.

Prices set years ago

And never touched since, even as everything else got more expensive.

Nothing's wrong with your business. Nobody's had time to look. That's the part I do.

What you get

Ninety minutes. You walk out with the map.

We build it together, side by side. You keep all of it, free:

Your Owner's Map

Where the hours and the money actually go in your business.

The Leak List

Every place time and revenue slip out: the re-work, the pricing gaps, the follow-ups nobody makes.

Biggest Opportunity

The one move worth the most to you, sized in hours and in dollars.

First Steps Plan

What to do first, what can wait, and why.

Why free? Because the session is the best introduction to how I work. If it uncovers something big and it makes sense for both of us, I'll share what working together could look like. If not, the map is still yours.

How it works

Three steps. No homework.

1

Start with the free check

Two minutes, seven questions, and you'll see your two biggest leaks named on the spot. Or skip it and book direct.

2

We dig in together

A 90-minute conversation, not an audit. A rough sense of your numbers is plenty, and everything stays between us. I come to you.

3

You keep everything

The map, the leaks, the plan. Yours whether or not we ever talk again.

And the money is real. One Lihuʻe owner found about $8,000 in extra revenue from a single price change, inside a month.

Owners on island

Don't take my word for it.

It's giving me hope. It's giving me newfound energy. There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's a no-pressure zone... You're coming with value added. You're not just saying you need to do this and good luck to you.

The AI part

Curious what AI could do for your business?

Right question, wrong starting point. Find the hours first, then put AI on the work you never wanted: the quotes, the follow-ups, the invoicing, the office admin that eats your week.

I run these systems in my own businesses, so nothing I recommend is theory. And if AI never comes up in your session, that's fine too. The hours come first.

Who you're meeting

Aloha, I'm Greg Horn.

By Greg Horn, Monetization Engineer at Kauʻai Systems · Last updated September 2026

I've spent years building and backing Kauaʻi small businesses, including founding Catch A Wave, the island's Shark Tank-style competition for local owners. I've run it three times, with businesses from every corner of the island.

Kauʻai Systems is the next chapter: one owner at a time, getting the week back and finding what the business is leaving on the table. I tested every piece of it on my own companies first.

Let's find out where your week is going.

Start with the free check. Two minutes, and you'll see your two biggest leaks before you decide anything else.

Every session is me, in person. The calendar only holds so many.

Good questions

Owners usually ask

Does it really cost nothing?

Yes. The 90-minute session is free. No invoice, no surprise. And I'll be straight with you: if we find good stuff and it makes sense, I'll share what working together more deeply could look like. But the session is a complete thing on its own.

What if my problem is time, not money?

Then we start there. Most of the hours leaving a Kauaʻi service business go to work that could run itself: the same invoice rebuilt by hand every month, a schedule that lives in one person's head, the follow-up nobody makes. We find those first. The money usually turns up in the same place.

What do I need to prepare?

Almost nothing. A general sense of your monthly revenue, your biggest costs, and how you price. No reports, no spreadsheets. It's a conversation, and everything stays between us.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Kauaʻi service businesses. Think home inspection, mold remediation, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping and lawn care, tree work, pest control, towing, auto repair, pool service, septic and pumping, cleaning, roofing, painting, handyman crews, delivery routes. If you sell your time, your craft, or your crew's work, this applies to you.

Do you come to us?

Yes. Anywhere on island. Your shop, your office, a coffee place, whatever's easiest for you.

What happens after the session?

You keep everything we find. If it makes sense for both of us, we'll talk about working together more deeply. If not, you've got a clear picture and a plan, and we part as friends.
